Protecting yourself and loved ones... 1st on many minds.
The numbers are in...
WHEN responsible citizens are concerned about personal safety, they arm themselves... and they did JUST THAT in June.
Americans bought 2.4 million firearms in June, according to industry estimates from Small Arms Analytics & Forecasting. That is a 145% increase from June 2019.
Handgun sales make up the bulk of those estimates and increased at an even higher year-over-year rate of 178%.
Now the FBI's Instant Criminal Background Check system processed more than 3.9 million checks in June, but these checks do not serve as an EXACT measure of gun sales since some states run checks on gun permit-holders also. June saw nearly 900,000 more of these FBI background checks than an already-high May.
So it really is unclear if this spike during the pandemic and violent city outbursts in June, was driven by new gun owners or existing gun owners who are adding to their gun collections.
Either way, prepared is better than scared.
Protecting our 2nd Amendment right is a high priority in our next election.
Conserving our foundational truths is of the utmost importance.
As people witness the violence on television – people can clearly understand the difference between peaceful protesters and violent rioters. When people see actual videos of the fires, assaults and looting of private property and businesses, mosts are in disbelief that this is happening.
When we see the obvious, people want to go out and purchase firearms. They want to make sure that they're protected.
I am -- are you?
